How Bright Minds Consulting Started

In March of 2019 Jonathan King founded Bright Minds Consulting Inc (BMCI) after nearly two decades in the behavioral health field and due to his overwhelming compassion to give back to his community. He began his career as a one to one aide in the Philadelphia School District where he was first introduced to autism in 2001. After working in an Autistic Support classroom with the same learner for several years, he had a vision that behavioral science could further help this learner make academic, behavioral, and adaptive progress. In 2009, Jonathan met his first BCBA and was immediately captivated by the possibilities of ABA. Soon after, Jonathan received his Master’s of Science in Autism Studies and Applied Behavior Analysis from Sage College and Board Certification for Behavior Analysis (BCBA) in 2014. As a BCBA his experience includes conducting functional behavior assessments, developing and implementing evidence-based behavioral programs, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in a variety of settings including residential community group homes, private residences, and schools. His two decades of experience in working with underprivileged and disadvantaged youth while creating opportunities for others has resulted in the creation of BMCI.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to help children and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs pursue and achieve their full potential through Behavioral Science.

Why Choose Us

Our decades of experience in the industry have proven to reduce behavioral problems and skill deficits associated with children, youth, and young adults with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

Where We Are Located

Our offices are located at 5225 Germantown Avenue in the historic Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia on a high traffic corridor. There is an excess of onsite parking and the location is easily accessible by public transportation.

The SEPTA route 23 bus travels down Germantown Avenue and stops a few feet away from the front door of the office. The office is also located less than a two-minute walk from the Septa route H bus stop at Green St. and Queen Lane and within one mile of the Septa R7 Regional Rail Line Wister and Germantown transit stops and the Broad Street Line’s Logan transit stop.

Our programs are carried out in the child, youth, or young adult’s day-to-day living in a natural environment such as home, school, after-school programs, community, and special events.
